Year 5 Brazil had an interesting workshop with Chloe from 'Medical Mavericks' this morning.

The children had the opportunity to learn about and try out a range of medical equipment including: blood pressure cuffs, key hole surgery tools, thermometers, heartrate monitors and much more. Incredibly, Chloe had a real needle that we could use to take "blood" from a prosthetic arm! This gave the children the opportunity to reduce their fears around this equipment in medical settings and increase their knowledge about the human body.
