As part of our learning about celebrations, we planned a birthday party for Miss Sadler. We had to write invitations choose the food we wanted and then make the cakes.
We followed a recipe and noticed how the ingredients changed as we mixed them. Everyone enjoyed the party.

As part of our international schools project, we learnt about a story from a different country. We read ‘Handa’s Surprise’ which is set in Africa.

Year 1, 2 and 3 swapped recipes with a school in Dubai. We made flatbread and tried it with hummus. It was nice. We then sent the recipe for Yorkshire puddings.

Our Headteacher, Mrs Carter, presented certificates to recognise the commitment family members make to learn to sign! Many have attended every Tuesday morning for the whole year! Well done!
