We had an egg-citing time learning about materials in Foundation.

We pushed Humpty Dumpty off the wall to see what would happen. Then we tried out different materials to explore how we could keep him safe. We predicted what we thought would happen and then tried it out. We learned that soft materials helped Humpty stay safe.

In foundation we have been learning rhymes. We enjoyed acting out Incy Wincy Spider using props, we sequenced the pictures and used instruments to play along to the rhyme.

As part of our learning on changes in the environment we explored the snow today.

We used our whole bodies to see what happened when we walked on it, touched it and built with it. It felt cold and we left footprints and...

Last summer term, we learned about 'The World'. We have planted vegetables and flowers. We have learnt about the life cycle of plants as we planted the seeds and watched them grow.

We have to water them everyday. We are learning about our right to an education that helps us to respect the environment (UNCRC 29)
