Every Child Has a Voice
Pupil voice is valued at Longwill. Children are supported to express their views in accessible ways and to take part in decisions that affect their learning, wellbeing and school community.
We want pupils to feel listened to, respected and confident in sharing their ideas, concerns and aspirations.
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child underpins school life. Longwill has previously been recognised with the UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Gold Award, reflecting the school’s commitment to a rights-respecting community and active citizenship.
Rights Respecting School Children are encouraged to understand their rights, respect the rights of others and take an active role in shaping the life of the school.
