Would you like to support deaf children’s education in Birmingham?

We are a passionate, highly effective and diverse governing body, and are always looking for associate governors to join us and contribute to the work of the board and the school.

As governors, we:

  • Provide a high level of support and challenge to the school’s management team

  • Proactively develop ourselves as individuals and a team through regular training and away days

  • Offer a ‘buddy’ system for new governors

  • Have the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the education of deaf children.

If you have:

  • Great communication skills, including the ability to question  and think outside the box

  • The time, will, and ability to commit to our school

  • An interest (but not necessarily expertise) in the bilingual education of deaf children,

We would love to hear from you. The time commitment is 2-3 meetings per school term, a minimum of one school visit per term, and 1-2 strategic away days (usually a morning on the school campus) per year.

Please get in touch with the school office for more information.
