Would you like to support deaf children’s education in Birmingham?
We are a passionate, highly effective and diverse governing body, and are always looking for associate governors to join us and contribute to the work of the board and the school.
As governors, we:
Provide a high level of support and challenge to the school’s management team
Proactively develop ourselves as individuals and a team through regular training and away days
Offer a ‘buddy’ system for new governors
Have the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the education of deaf children.
If you have:
Great communication skills, including the ability to question and think outside the box
The time, will, and ability to commit to our school
An interest (but not necessarily expertise) in the bilingual education of deaf children,
We would love to hear from you. The time commitment is 2-3 meetings per school term, a minimum of one school visit per term, and 1-2 strategic away days (usually a morning on the school campus) per year.
Please get in touch with the school office for more information.
