Longwill School for Deaf Children are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Gold Rights Respecting Award. UNICEF have recognised our commitment and achievement in developing a rights respecting community and promoting active global citizenship.

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child underpins our vision and practice throughout school and so we are very proud to receive this prestigious award.

We are the first special school in Birmingham, and indeed throughout the whole of the West Midlands,  to receive the Gold Award.

Well done Longwill!

Friendship Week
At Longwill we enjoy the right to play safely with our friends. We discussed the importance of being kind to one another. We have joined our individual puzzle pieces together showing we are all different but united. We respect and show tolerance to each other.
